Weight Loss Hijacker #1: Believing you need to be perfect.
When you have a weight loss mentality, the mentality is that you have to be perfect. People believe you need to achieve perfection in order to get results.
I strongly believe and teach that you cannot lose weight in a bubble because you don’t live life in a bubble. You’ve got to learn how to live and manage your life because the everyday chaos is going to keep happening for the rest of your life.
What do you need to do about it?
Recognize that every moment is a new moment and every moment you get to decide what you do, just choose.
Weight Loss Hijacker #2: Depending on exercise to be your primary weight loss vehicle.
Weight loss tips: If you are depending on exercise to lose weight, then the minute that your life gets rattled, the first thing to go off your schedule is typically exercise. If you miss your workout for a few days because you’re not well, or you’re traveling, then everything starts to feel out of sync.
We don’t even bring exercise into my programs. We bring in “activity.” As a woman, there’s so much to master around food and emotion when you’re on a weight loss journey. If you are stopping yourself from starting your weight loss journey because you don’t like exercise, take it out of the equation. Focus on your food. Focus on your feelings and you will be 90% of the way there. Literally that is going to be where some of the biggest shifts happen for you. Move your body because you love it, and you care about it, and you respect it, and you want it to be healthy and strong.
